# Depureco USA Filter Media Guide

> Use filter media to route a buyer from material behavior to filtration, cleaning, containment, and maintenance needs.

## Selection logic

1. Identify material: dust, powder, fumes, liquids, chips, sludge, hot debris, combustible dust, toxic dust, or food/pharma powder.
2. Identify particle behavior: fine, oily, sticky, abrasive, hot, conductive, combustible, toxic, hygroscopic, or static-prone.
3. Select filter media and cleaning method: polyester, PTFE, antistatic, NOMEX, HEPA H13/H14, M-Class, cartridge, star filter, JetClean, shaker, or pulse-cleaning system.
4. Select discharge containment: bin, Longopac, bag, separator, liquid filter, pump-back, big bag, or other system.
