Foundry cleanup rarely means one clean, uniform material. Dust, slag, drill chips, swarf, sharp shavings, and heavier production debris can collect in the same work area. In this Depureco Labs foundry vacuum test, the ECOBULL TAN was tested with customer-supplied dry foundry housekeeping material to show how the unit handles a mixed debris stream instead of a staged, single-material pickup.
What the ECOBULL TAN Collected
The test material included:
- Foundry dust and general dry debris
- Metal slag and dense metal pieces
- Metal chips, machining chips, and swarf
- Drill chips and smaller metal fragments
The ECOBULL TAN was used with an antistatic flat pipe, a metal scraping pipe, and a PRO floor brush. That tool change matters in a foundry: a narrow scraping tool can break up or target compacted material, while a floor brush covers a wider housekeeping path around workstations, finishing areas, and production equipment.
What This Foundry Vacuum Test Shows
This is a single-unit performance test, not a product-versus-product comparison. It shows the pickup behavior of the ECOBULL three-phase industrial vacuum when dry dust, slag, chips, and mixed foundry debris are collected with different tools.
The test does not qualify one vacuum for every foundry material or hazard. Hot residue, combustible or reactive metal dust, classified areas, silica-containing dust, long hose runs, and large-volume sand recovery require a separate application review and may call for different filtration, accessories, pre-separation, or a larger system.
Where the ECOBULL Test Fits in Foundry Housekeeping
This setup is most relevant to repeated dry cleanup around machining, drilling, finishing, maintenance, and general production areas. Other foundry zones can involve casting sand, core sand, shakeout residue, refractory dust, blasting media, or hot material. Review Depureco’s industrial vacuum solutions for foundries to compare mobile three-phase vacuums, high-power systems, dust collectors, and centralized vacuum systems by material and process area.
